Sources report that Dave Regan is freaking out during a
meeting of SEIU-UHW’s Executive Board that’s taking place this weekend at a
hotel in San Luis Obispo, California.
What’s got Dave’s underwear tied in a knot?
It’s the massive re-run election covering 43,000 Kaiser
Permanente workers in California. The NLRB election is being re-run because of multiple
violations committed by Regan and Kaiser during 2010, which caused a judge to
throw out the first election’s results.
This time, SEIU will be going toe-to-toe against the
combined forces of NUHW and the California Nurses Association, which recently teamed
up in a new affiliation.
So what’s Regan saying to SEIU-UHW’s Executive Board?
Apparently, he admitted he’s super nervous about the re-run
election at Kaiser… and occasionally thinks about blowing his brains out! Tasty
is not kidding. (Just for the record, Tasty fully supports euthanasia for
hopelessly sick individuals.)
According to Tasty’s sources, Dave is so freaked out that he’s
forcing the Executive Board members to go through “training modules” where SEIU staffers instruct them on how to “motivate” union members
from non-Kaiser hospitals to work on SEIU’s election campaign at Kaiser.
And Regan is
telling the Executive Board that SEIU will collapse if the Purple Palace loses
the election at Kaiser. Poof!!
Sources say many members of SEIU-UHW’s Executive Board are super nervous about the Kaiser election. And they report that Regan’s “motivational
seminars” are falling flat, with board members saying that SEIU-UHW will have
to pay lots of cash to get the union's members to help on the
campaign.
Stay tuned!
