The effort is underway
at O’Connor Woods, a
retirement facility
located near Stockton in Northern California. Tasty hears that the
workers -- including Certified Nursing Assistants, Patient Care
Attendants, Housekeepers, Dietary Workers, Maintenance Workers and
Laundry Workers -- are totally
fed up with the SEIU-UHW's lack of support for its members.
Here’s the NLRB form that records workers' request for a decertification election: "A
substantial number of employees assert that the certified or currently
recognized bargaining representative is no longer their representative."
